EVENING TALK: Join Kevin Carmody and Andy Groarke, the award-winning architectural studio behind the new King’s Cross Filling Station restaurant, Frieze Art Fair (2011 and 2012) and Architecture Foundation HQ, as they discuss their work with Lucy Bullivant Hon FRIBA, the architectural critic and curator.
Carmody Groarke is a London-based architectural studio established by Kevin Carmody and Andrew Groarke in 2006 undertaking projects of highly varied typologies. In 2007 Carmody Groarke won the Building Design Young Architect of the Year Award (YAYA), and in 2010 their Studio East Dining project won The Architectural Review Emerging Architecture Award .
Hear about Carmody Groarke’s creative approach to projects including the permanent memorial to the 7 July 2005 terrorist bombings; Studio East Dining, a temporary restaurant overlooking the London 2012 Olympic site, the exhibition design for ‘Bauhaus: Art as Life’ at the Barbican Art Gallery and new headquarters for the Contemporary Arts Society in London.
