While our world leaders discuss the planet’s future, art facilitates a conduit of enquiry concerning the human condition, its habitat, behaviour, social condition and political aspirations. 

The terms – land art, eco art, bio art, environmental art, art in nature, ecoventions, earthworks… reflect these major concerns in connection to the visual arts. During 2016 Sculpture Network’s programmes will address the theme of Nature as a material for sculpture through multiple events taking place throughout Europe.

XIV International Forum 2016 – 
Anne Berk curates the XIV International Forum Sculpting Nature – Land art, eco art and bio art, taking place in Antwerp, Belgium from 29 September to 1 October 2016.

Discussion and visits with experts and artists will take place throughout Europe at multiple venues.

Sculpture Network – new year’s brunch’16. Sunday 24 January 2016

Sculpture Network’s new year’s brunch is an annual international festival designed to celebrate and promote sculpture, hosted by 58 participating venues throughout Europe. Each venue has a personalized programme relevant to this year’s overall theme – Nature as material for sculpture.
 Each participant at the 58 events is virtually linked and can share impressions live on the event’s PhotoWall. Images and comments posted on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #newyearsbrunch16 or
