While our world leaders discuss the planet’s future, art facilitates a conduit of enquiry concerning the human condition, its habitat, behaviour, social condition and political aspirations.

The terms – land art, eco art, bio art, environmental art, art in nature, ecoventions, earthworks… reflect these major concerns in connection to the visual arts. During 2016 Sculpture Network’s programmes will address the theme of Nature as a material for sculpture through multiple events taking place throughout Europe.
