The sculpture network XIth International Forum in cooperation with the Art Museum Celle with collection Robert Simon In Celle, Germany fom September 27 to 30 with the theme of Light art. The conference on 28 September 2012, focuses on ‘Light in Contemporary Art’. Artists and Scientists illuminate the topic with artistic, art historic and philisophic lectures. Experience light art though the museum’s comprehensive collection. Bienal del Chaco – July 2012: Resistencia, Argentina. The 2012 International Sculpture Biennial, directed by Mimo Eidman of the Fundación Urunday, invites twelve international artists to carve an original sculpture outdoors, performing before thousands of spectators – inspired by the subject ’The Prophecy’. The resulting works will eventually be placed in open spaces in the city of Resistencia, known as the City of Sculptures, with over 530 artworks in public places. In 1998 UNESCO declared Resistencia to be part of the ‘Cultural Heritage of Humanity’.
